Shawl 21″ x 65″ approx 100% silk Dyes Úcar & Cochineal US$160 This one-of-a-kind piece combines native color with meso and South American color to express sweetness and joy in silk. Using the arashi shibori technique, it was dyed with úcar leaves. It was then overstained with the carmine of cochineal grana using identical woods to preserve that first color. Unique pieces with slight variations in design. How to care for it: • Wash in cold water, if necessary with mild neutral soap • Hold from the corners and air dry avoiding the sun (do not tumble dry) • -if necessary- iron upside down (see sewing) at silk temperature Dyed in Puerto Rico Free shipping to PR and the United States Important!
