Mahogany & Cochineal Dyes Regular $60, Special $50 This one-of-a-kind piece combines native color with meso and South American color to express sweetness and joy in silk. Using the arashi technique, the shibori was dyed with mahogany acorns. It was then over-dyed with the cochineal grain carmine using identical woods to preserve the first color.

How to care for it: • Wash in cold water, if necessary with mild neutral soap • Keep from the corners and air dry avoiding the sun (do not tumble dry) • The wrinkled texture is typical of this type of dyeing -if necessary- Iron upside down (see sewing) at silk temperature
